Welcome to Potomac Elementary Art!

As an integrated arts school, the visual arts are continually called upon to support and reinforce the classroom curriculum. Not only does our program provide opportunities for children to experience drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, mask making, printmaking, textile arts, puppetry, architecture, commercial art, etc. but it also emphasizes the importance of looking at and talking about art. Throughout the year, each grade will learn new vocabulary, build problem solving skills and understand new concepts that they can transfer to their classroom as well as the world outside of school.
