Hi, I am the physical education teacher here at Oak View. I am thrilled to be able to work with all of the students here at Oak View! I love having the opportunity to teach them many skills to develop lifelong interests that will keep them healthy and offer them many ways to have FUN!

I was born in Silver Spring and have lived in the DC Metro area all my life. I am a Walter Johnson HS alum. I also attended Montgomery College where I had excellent instructors. I finished my degree at the University of Maryland and have been teaching since 1996. Even though I love PE, math and science are always my favorite subjects. Even to this day, I love to learn new things. I hope I help my students catch the curiosity bug, too!

My favorite activities (outside of teaching) are softball, swimming, biking, anything where water is involved or gives me a chance to be outside and running. I never thought I’d say I enjoy running so always try new things and try old things again. You might surprise yourself!

I am honored to be a part of the Oak View team. GO DRAGONS!!!

Flyer Distribution

Typically, fliers are distributed by elementary schools at or near the end of the quarter, three times a year. This year, for at least the first two quarters, we are asking schools to post approved virtual fliers on their school websites on the parent resources page. As a reminder, only fliers from non-profit organizations may be displayed and all fliers must contain the following disclaimer: "These materials are neither sponored by the Board of Education of Montgomery County, the superintendent or this school."
