Welcome to Knights News 19!

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

  •   All Book Wars team members must return their permission slips THIS WEEK or they will not be able to attend the competition. Please see Mrs. Davis with any concerns.
  • It’s time to vote for your favorite Black-Eyed Susan book.  If you have read 3 books from one category, you should stop by the media center to vote.  All students who vote will be invited to the BES Party in May.  Please see Mrs. Davis or Mr. Cordeiro for more details.
  • Don’t forget that Friday March 15 is Green Day!  Wear a green shirt, green socks, green earrings, green hair, WHATEVER!  So don’t forget Friday is GREEN DAY!
  •  Today in women’s history, Tammy Duckworth was born. During the Iraq War, she was a Blackhawk helicopter pilot.  Her helicopter was hit by a grenade, and she lost both of her legs.  After the war, she became the first disabled woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and the second Asian-American woman in the Senate. She also became the first US Senator to have a baby while still working in the Senate.
  • Don’t forget to enter the PBIS drawing if you are interested in winning the secret diary set!
