SAT School Day for the Class of 2024 is March 22, 2023
As part of a comprehensive strategy to open access and opportunity for all students, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) provides important college readiness examinations to all students. This includes offering the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) during the school day for Grade 10 students each fall, and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) School Day for Grade 11 students each spring. This approach allows for greater access to these essential examinations, supports efforts to remove barriers associated with college entrance examinations, and ensures equitable access to these critical steps to college and career readiness.
As a result, MCPS will be offering the following assessments in 2022-2023:
· The SAT during the school day on March 22, 2023, free of charge to Grade 11 students.
· Students will automatically be registered.
· Students taking the SAT during the school day must adhere to the same testing protocols that take place on national testing dates, including approval of individualized accommodations.
Parents and caregivers of 11th grade students need to review the letter linked below that also includes the consent form for completing the College Board questionnaire on test day.
