All students, grades K-5 will participate in one counseling lesson a month.
Counseling Groups
Small group counseling typically happens once a week during lunch or recess for a variety of purposes. These could be, but are not limited to one of the following:
Social Skills
Divorce
Friendship
Self-Esteem
Anxiety
Attention
Study Skills
Mrs. Goode leads a New Student Group and all other small groups. Students in grades 1-5 who come in the beginning of during the school year may meet with Mrs. Goode for lunch throughout the year. Mrs. Goode & Mrs. Helton help to welcome the students and foster new friendships!
Short Term Individual Counseling
Students can be referred for short term individual counseling by the school's behavior team, a parent, teacher, or they can refer themselves.
Students can place a note in Mrs. Helton or Mrs. Goode's mailbox at school to request individual counseling.
Please contact either one of Little Bennett's counselors if you would like one of us to see your child for short-term counseling.
** Please note...Individual counseling is provided as needed and does not require parent consent prior to counseling. If you would like your child to opt out of individual counseling please contact one of the counselors.
