The John F. Kennedy High School Educational Foundation was incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization on August 31st, 2006 when its by-laws and articles of incorporation were notarized and initial fees were paid. It is a private organization that is technically not part of the school but supports the school by providing targeting funding for activities, equipment and programs that aren’t available through the MCPS budget. The funding source comes from businesses, corporate donations, professional associations and alumni.
The growth of the board of directors and the foundation itself is ongoing.
