    Highland View ES had the honor of hosting a group of principals from The Netherlands.  The purpose of their visit was to learn about our educational system.  Principal, Ms. Anne Dardarian, and Assistant Principal, LaJuana Brown, welcomed the group to our school. Former Highland View Principal, Ms. Joanne Steckler, coordinated the visit. The principals were particularly interested in ascertaining information about how our school educates students from diverse backgrounds.

    Ms. Aloha Keylor, ESOL teacher, explained the variety of ways we teach second language learners. Dr. Dreama Rosenkrans shared information about our early literacy program. Representatives from our Parent Teacher Association, Ms. Jill Ortman-Fouse, Room Parent Coordinator and Heather Sauter Powers, Volunteer Participation Chairperson highlighted the collaborative and supportive parent-teacher partnership at Highland View.

    The principals had an opportunity to tour the school.  The Highland View school community enjoyed exchanging information with our guests.
