Highland View ES-Read Across America Day!
Reading Can Knock Your Socks Off!
Celebrating Read Across America Day!

Scooting about in polka dotted, mismatched, striped socks and balancing enormously tall, droopy, colorful hats, the Highland View faculty and students captured the heart, humor and sparkle of Dr. Seuss and his stories as they celebrated two major events, Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America Day!
Ms. Dardarian began the celebration by reading a favorite tongue twister, “Fox in Socks” to the entire school as classroom teachers turned the pages of their copies of the book, so that students could enjoy Dr. Seuss’s delightful artwork as they listened to Ms. Dardarian’s expressive reading.
On Read Across America Day, guest readers from the Highland View community and faculty visited classes to read aloud popular Dr. Seuss books as well as their personal favorite stories.
Our school wishes to express their appreciation to all of our readers for making this day so special.
