NHS serves GHS by MENTORING.

The National Honor Society is a group of elite students within the school of Gaithersburg High School - we represent the best and brightest that our school has to offer. We are the center of community service within our school, but I believe that our academic prowess and experience is the true treasure of the National Honor Society and mentoring is one way to share that treasure for those who want it. Mentors would pass down their experience of taking certain classes and provide insight into certain teachers - , how to best succeed - and approximate the level of difficulty of AP classes that the mentee is interested in. SAT/ACT can be extremely daunting as a freshman and many don’t worry about it until their junior year, but many people, including most of our mentors, wish they had started preparing earlier.
