Attention all Titans! We will be taking two surveys TOMORROW during 4th period. All students, including seniors, must take the first survey. It is only 2 questions. The second survey is for 9th through 11th graders.

We will have a teaser schedule TOMORROW to conduct the surveys.

 

Spiritwear will be on sale outside of the cafeteria on Friday .

 

Seniors! April 5th is the deadline to submit SSL hours to be considered for the Certificate of Merit. In order to qualify, you must have a minimum of 260 hours. All SSL verification forms must be turned in no later than Friday April 5th. If you have any questions, see Ms. Ramos in counseling.

 

GLI will be collecting final T-Shirt orders and money at our meeting TODAY in Ms. Shaffer's room (first half of lunch) we will also be having a discussion about service opportunities and donations. We hope to see you there!

If you are unable to attend but would like to order a t-shirt give your dues to one of our GLI officers: Mary McDonnell, Johana M. Arjona, Caroline Robertson, or Abby Ruth!  

 

Attention: Titans! If you are planning to run for class office or SGA, you pick up an application from Ms. Moore --- in room 205. Applications, including the google form, must be submitted by TOMORROW at 3:00PM.

 

If you are interested in taking a Dual Enrollment Course this Summer or Fall, you must take the Accuplacer/ACT/SAT.  The next Accuplacer will be given here at Einstein on Friday, April 5th in the Media Center.  You must see Ms. Mackey by TOMORROW in order to participate on April 5th.

 

Holy guacamole! Looking for an opportunity to show off your school spirit AND enjoy a tasty burrito? Come in to the Chipotle at 10526 Connecticut Ave in Kensington on Tuesday, April 30th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm to help support the Class of 2022! Tell the cashier you're supporting the cause to make sure that 33% of the proceeds will be donated to AEHS Class Of 2022. Queso, see you there!

 

 

Attention class of 2022! Want to show off your class pride? Pre order the official class of 2022 shirt and sunglasses! Shirts are $15 and sunglasses are $7. Order both for $20! You are not guaranteed a shirt unless you pre-order so be sure to stop by room 152 or the Class of 2022 bulletin board on Main Street to get an order form. Order forms and money should be turned in to Ms. Holladay in room 152 by Friday, April 12th!

 

 

Juniors! Remember that you are taking the SAT on April 9th, unless you requested a fee waiver for the ACT.  If you have not already done so, turn in your parent consent form so  the College Board can share information about specific colleges and universities with you.  Either return a paper copy of the consent form to Ms. Lehman in the College and Career Center or submit it electronically.  If you need another copy, see Dr. Webb.

 

Also, remember to bring your scientific calculator with you on April 9th so you can use it on the SAT. You will NOT  be able to use the calculator on your cell phone during testing.  If you need to borrow a scientific calculator for the SAT test, see Mr. Alford ASAP.  Calculator reservations will be made on a 'first come' basis.

 

Need some help preparing for the SAT on April 9th?

The George B Thomas Saturday School offers help with SAT Preparation, every Saturday from 8:30 to 11 AM here at Einstein.  Come and get help with reading, math, and essay writing during Saturday School!

See Ms. Ballard to register.  Discounts apply for those who are eligible for free and reduced meals,  ACES students are free and scholarships are available.

Are you a senior and still need SSL hours? The counseling department is having a canned food drive to support our homeless community at Martha's Table. You can earn one SSL hour per canned food item. Drop offs are before and after school, and during lunch in the counseling suite. Pre-filled SSL forms will be available. If you have any questions, see Ms. Ramos in the counseling suite.

 

Juniors who want to attend the National College Fair Field Trip on Tuesday    April 2nd  MUST turn in their Permission slips to Mrs. Lehman by Thursday March 28th. The cost is $5.00

 

Attention: Seniors! Have you been receiving your college acceptance letters? If so, have you shared it with the Counseling office? If not, please send a copy of your acceptance letter to Ms. Malner, in the Counseling office. The Student Leadership would like to recognize you and your accomplishments by displaying them. Don't be humble… show off your success. You've earned it!

 

The Jaime Escalante Honor Society is offering tutoring in Spanish and conversation practice in Spanish every Tuesday during the second half of lunch portable 1.

 

There will be a meeting of THE CHRISTIAN CLUB, at lunch EVERY Friday  in room 263.  All those interested in the relevance of Christianity are welcome to attend.

All our welcome to come speak French during the first half of lunch on Fridays in Room 28 for our French conversation club.  All levels of speakers are welcome, from novice to native.

 

 

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Lacrosse team as they have opened the season with two victories. The tem opened with an 18-1 victory over Wheaton and a 20 - 0 win over Seneca Valley. The leading scorers on the team are Conor Johnston, Matt Galler, Sean McCaffrey, Logan Rayburn and Jack Causby. Ben Boa has allowed only one goal. Next game is Friday night at home against Watkins Mill.

 

SCHOLARSHIPppppDEADLINES COMING UP:  

•The Kiwanis Club is offering four scholarships for up to $10,000 each to graduating seniors with a 2.75 GPA and attending a Maryland school till April 4th.
•The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity/ Paul Robeson Scholarship is now available to High School Male Seniors who plan to attend college in the fall of 2019. Three scholarships are available: Merit, Mentoring, and Need -Based. Deadline: Friday, April 6, 2019.
•The Einstein Athletic Hall of Fame is offering 6 scholarships for senior athletes, awarding up to $10K till April 15.

Please stop by the career center to apply and GET MONEY!

COLLEGE & CAREER VISITS COMING UP:  

Montgomery College will be visiting the Career Center TODAY at 10:30. Students who have already applied to Montgomery College are encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to meet with the representative and learn what to do next. He will provide information on the Community College Promise Scholarship. Seniors still have time to apply to Montgomery College. The online application is FREE and only takes 5 minutes to complete.

Please see Mrs. Lehman for a college visit pass or come by the Career Center to complete the online application.
