Attention Indoor Track athletes please return your uniforms as soon as possible.  Obligations will be issued Friday, March 1.

 

Attention: JV Cheerleaders! If you haven't returned your uniform to Ms. Moore, please do so no later than this Thursday. Financial obligations will be distributed this Friday.

 

There will be a meeting for all students interested in running Outdoor track, Thursday at the beginning of lunch in room 2041.

 

All students interested in participating in Spring sports please be sure to register online in the Parent Portal.  You will not be allowed to participate if you are not registered.

 

For all students interested in joining the Einstein Girls' Tennis Team, please register online and get your physical BEFORE March 4th. We have changed the tryout date to Monday March 4th. If you have any questions, direct them to Mr. Donohue in room 149.

 

Calling all Key Club members - today is the election for our officers.  Please come and vote! Don't forget to wear you Key Club T-Shirts.  Don't have a T-Shirt yet? They are available at the meeting.  So come to Room 2039 during lunch today - to vote and get your T-shirt.   If you have any questions, see Ms. Ford in room 228.

 

Attention all Academy of Finance Students, you have an academy meeting TODAY during lunch in room 275.  Please be on time for our guest speaker.

 

Attention all AEHS Juniors, if you are interested in enrolling in the Internship Classes for the 2019-2020 school year, please attend the mandatory Internship Meeting on Friday, Mar. 1, 2019 during the 1st half of lunch in room 275.

 

Girls interested in playing lacrosse this upcoming spring, you MUST have a completed physical and register online. You will not be permitted to tryout on Monday March 4th without registration and a current physical (within the past year). If you have any questions, see Ms. Ramos in the counseling suite or Mr. Varner in room 216.

 

Attention Theatre Fans - one of Einstein S.T.A.G.E's biggest productions ever opens next Friday night!  Come see OLIVER! - based on the novel Oliver Twist and featuring one of the best scores ever written for the stage.   We have a cast of over 60 working with our fantastic pit orchestra and terrific designers and crews, and we promise a show you'll never forget!  Tickets are on sale NOW at www.showtix4u.com  and will also be available at the door for shows March 8th, 9th and 15th at 7pm and March 16th at 1pm and 7pm.   CONSIDER YOURSELF ONE OF US - come see OIiver!

 

There will be a spirit bus available to any student's interested in traveling to BCC this Friday, for the boy's basketball playoff game.   Please see Ms. Moore to fill out a permission slip, and then you must purchase a ticket during lunch on Thursday or Friday.  Tickets are $6, and will be sold on Main Street by Mr. Blessing and Mrs. Dubois.  On Friday, your ticket will be your entrance onto the bus, and you will get your $6 back, to use to enter the game at BCC. 

 

Attention Juniors!!  April 9th is the county wide SAT day.  This is opportunity for all juniors to take the SAT test for free!   All other students will participate in college readiness activates during this time. 

Everyone must register for an activity during lunch the next week:

-Any students wishing to take the ACT can register with Ms. Lehman.

-AP & IB students can see Ms. Beacraft for an AP/IB practice tests.
-Students still needing to pass the PARCC or HSA need to see Dr. Webb.
-Students still needing SSL hours can register with counseling outside of the cafeteria.
-Anyone not participating in any of the above activities will be having study hall in the media center on April 9th.

Attention: Seniors! Have you been receiving your college acceptance letters? If so, have you shared it with the Counseling office? If not, please send a copy of your acceptance letter to Ms. Malner, in the Counseling office. The Student Leadership would like to recognize you and your accomplishments by displaying them. Don't be humble… show off your success. You've earned it!

 

PLEASE HELP GEMS BY DONATING BLANKETS TO HELP THE NEEDY DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY.  ALL DONATIONS WILL GO TO SHEPHERD'S TABLE HOMELESS SHELTER.  BLANKETS SHOULD BE NEW OR LIGHTLY USED.  PLEASE DROP OFF IN MRS. NORRIS CLASSROOM - LAB 202.

The Jaime Escalante Honor Society is offering tutoring in Spanish and conversation practice in Spanish every Tuesday during the second half of lunch portable 1.

 

Frostburg university will be here TOMORROW  holding on-site Admission interviews in the Career Center  from 8:30 -11:00am. This will allow you to meet with the Admission Rep. and learn about the college experience.  You will know immediately if you have been accepted to the university.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Lehman in the Career Center. Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity!

 

Hey titans, still don't understand what you've been learning in math this week? Don't panic National Honors Society has you covered! Come to room 201 today during lunch for math tutoring!

 

There will be a meeting of THE CHRISTIAN CLUB, at lunch EVERY Friday  in room 263.  All those interested in the relevance of Christianity are welcome to attend.

•The Dr. Alan Chung Leadership Scholarship is open to all Chinese American high school students with a 3.0 GPA and 75 SSL Hours till March 15th.
•The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity/ Paul Robeson Scholarship is now available to High School Male Seniors who plan to attend college in the fall of 2019. Three scholarships are available: Merit, Mentoring, and Need -Based.
•Deadline: Friday, April 6, 2019.
