Financial Planning & Scholarship

At B-CC, it is expected that all of our students are capable and entitled to higher education, regardless of financial status.  The College & Career Center is committed to bringing awareness of financial opportunities to the students.  College Tracks is equally dedicated and provides the utmost attention to our students who are active in seeking assistance. 

Financial Planning and Assistance

The College & Career Center is one of the best places to start planning financial for your higher education.  Assistance for filing for financial aid is provided through one-on-one meetings and multiple group worshops after-school throughout the school-year and summer.

State Financial Aid

The Maryland Higher Education Commission has a comprehensive site that describes the state's extensive array of financial aid programs: grants, scholarships and awards for students who want to further their education beyond high school.

National Financial Aid

The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators sponsors and maintains this free, comprehensive, independent and objective guide to sources of financial aid.

The U.S. Department of Education also offers Federal Student Aid. Students are encouraged to complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarships

Students interested in higher education are advised to keep a watchful eye on the Scholarship Databases organized by the College & Career Center.  These databases are updated monthly with application & eligibility requirements, award amounts, deadlines, and links to additional information.

Many colleges and universities offer scholarships to admitted applicants based on certain eligibility requirements, such as merit.  After admittance into a university be sure to check the database listed below to make sure what requirements are yet to completed to become eligible to receive a scholarship.
