A meeting and press briefing on Friday, February 8, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 127 of the Carver Educational Services Center will highlight opportunities for participation in procurement of goods and services contracts, and facilities and construction contracts with Montgomery County Public schools (MCPS), particularly by minority-, female-, and disabled-owned businesses.

Among the program participants will be Board of Education President Reginald M. Felton, Superintendent of Schools Jerry D. Weast, members of the MCPS Minority Business Task Force, and other leaders of the business community.

Presentations will include a demonstration of the on-line system for easy access to MCPS contract opportunities, review of the MCPS Guide to Succeessful Vendor Partnership, and information on expanded outreach strategies to the minority business community.
