ADVISORY: Treasurer of the United States to Visit Roberto Clemente Middle School to Celebrate Kid’s Baseball Coin Design Challenge

On Thursday, June 6, at 10 a.m., Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios will address students at the school named for Baseball Hall of Fame great and humanitarian activist Roberto Clemente, to encourage students to participate in the Kids Baseball Coin Design Challenge. Treasurer Rios will present the school with plaster models of the 1973 Congressional Gold Medal honoring Clemente’s achievements, to be placed on permanent display.

The Challenge, which is the kids' version of the nationwide Baseball Coin Design Competition, is open to anyone 13 years old and younger. Challenge guidelines and rules are available on the United States Mint website at
