Annual ESOL Awards Day Set for Saturday, May 12

ESOL Awards Day Ceremony To Be Held on May 12 at John F. Kennedy High School

The annual English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Awards Day Ceremony will take place at John F. Kennedy High School on Saturday, May 12, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Parents and children will wear their native attire to highlight and celebrate the cultural diversity represented in Montgomery County Public Schools.

The event will recognize students in the ESOL/Bilingual programs who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academic performance and other endeavors. In addition, three teachers and a principal will be honored for extraordinary service and dedication to ESOL students and their families. The award winners were nominated by colleagues and parents and selected by the ESOL/Bilingual Advisory Committee.
