Meetings Set on DCC Enrollment Options

April 20, 2007
Meetings Set for Downcounty Consortium (DCC) High School Enrollment Options for the 2008-2009 School Year

All Montgomery County Grade 7 students and their parents/guardians who reside in the Downcounty Consortium (DCC) are invited to attend evening information meetings to learn about the high school options that will be available to their students in the DCC. The five high schools in the Consortium include: Montgomery Blair, Albert Einstein, John F. Kennedy, Northwood, and Wheaton. The information meetings are scheduled for May 2007.

The information meetings will be held at three middle schools, and will provide parents and students with overviews of the consortium model and the academy programs at each of the DCC high schools, an overview of the Choice process, and information about transportation. In addition, parents and students can learn more about the “Choices Explorer” computer software program to help them learn how their skills, interests and talents are connected with future careers. The same information will be presented at each meeting. Meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m.
