The Board of Education has requested community comment regarding its new Policy JPG, Wellness: Physical and Nutritional Health. The policy includes goals for nutrition education, physical activity, and other school-based activities that promote student wellness; nutrition guidelines for foods available on campus; and a plan for measuring policy implementation.

Individuals who wish to provide comments should respond in writing by March 3, 2006. All responses should be sent to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20850. The responses will be shared with the Board of Education.
