Conference Focuses on Working Together for Prevention

Students who are connected or close to their school are less likely to use alcohol and drugs, engage in violent behavior or emotional distress, or drop out of school—and are more likely to earn high grades and test scores. Staff and community members came together at a conference, sponsored by Safe and Drug-Free Schools and the Montgomery County Collaboration Council, to help strengthen that connection.
