Downcounty Consortium (Consortium du Downcounty)(DCC)


Le Consortium du Downcounty inclut cinq lycées et leurs collèges et écoles élémentaires fournissant des élèves aux lycées—Blair, Einstein, Kennedy, Northwood, et Wheaton. Chaque lycée du DCC offre des programmes académiques distinctifs conçus pour capturer l'intérêt des élèves, incorporer le travail de cours académiques rigoureux, explorer des voies de carrières possibles et apporter la pertinence du monde réel à l'éducation des élèves. Chaque automne, les élèves actuels du Grade 8 qui vivent dans le secteur de la frontière géographique du DCC participeront au processus de Choice(Choix) de lycée. Les occasions sont disponibles pour les parents et les élèves pour en apprendre plus sur le processus de Choice(Choix) et examiner les offres d'académie uniques dans le DCC.

DCC High School Open House Dates:

All Open Houses will be virtual.  More information can be found on the website for the school closer to or on the dates listed above.  

Attention Current 8th Grade DCC Families

DCC Choice forms are due by Friday, November 6, 2020.  Current MCPS students who reside within the DCC will be mailed directions and the link to submit the Choice form mid-October 2020.

Do you live within the DCC boundaries? Need to enroll your child in high school?

The online process for enrollment starts at the link below.  That is the first step in the process of registering and enrolling your student into MCPS. Once complete, you will be directed to our team to complete the Choice process and be assigned a school.

Appeal Information

An appeal process is in place for those who may have a unique and verifiable hardship or unforeseen circumstances that could warrant override the school assignment process.  To appeal, you must submit a letter explaining the reason for the request to the director of DCCAPS.  Please include your students name, MCPS ID number, parent/guardian signature, and phone number.  Appeals are due by Friday, April 3, 2020. During this nationwide emergency, you may submit your appeal by email to DCCAPS@mcpsmd.org and we will process all appeals received.
