The Extended Learning Opportunities Summer Program (ELO) was designed to provide additional instruction in reading/language arts and mathematics to students in selected Title I schools. This report summarizes the findings of the Year 2 implementation of the ELO summer program that served kindergarten through Grade 4 students.. It focuses on whether the program produces overall academic benefits in reading and math and whether students in all racial/ethnic groups and at all levels of academic need also benefit. A full description of the program and how it was implemented are presented.
