Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Community Members,

Today, Monday, March 30, Governor Larry Hogan issued a Stay-at-Home Order to combat the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). While the order prohibits Maryland residents from making trips considered non-essential (see the Executive Order), it does allow community members to continue to travel to our schools to pick up meals and instructional resources for online learning. Meal service will continue as scheduled this week at multiple sites. Additionally, MCPS will continue to provide supports and services to address the social-emotional, psychological and physical well-being of our students and staff

Today was also the first day of our transition to the continuity of learning (remote/distance learning) plan. Information about what students and parents can expect this week can be found here

As a reminder, we are in a serious, worldwide health crisis. Please follow the Governor’s order and social distancing best practices to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Sincerely,
Montgomery County Public Schools
