Multicultural Human Relations  Content Coursework

All MCPS professional personnel who have not completed a multicultural human relations course or a comparable course will be required to do so within five years of employment. MCPS offers MSDE approved CPD courses which fulfill this requirement.

MCPS employment contingencies also can be satisfied with undergraduate or graduate course work from a regionally accredited college or university.  As a reminder, only graduate and CPD credits apply toward salary advancement.

NOTE: There may be other courses that apply toward these requirements. If you find another course that you believe may apply, please submit a course description along with a written request regarding the applicability of the course via pony mail, regular mail, or email to the Certification Unit.
