Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency:

  • Call fire, police, and/or medical emergency authorities first (if applicable).
  • Have qualified personnel shut off affected utilities (if available).
  • Call your supporting service center. After normal operations hours, call 240-740-3006 (Systemwide Safety and Emergency Management) and ask them to notify service center personnel.
  • Call any other personnel that you are required to notify.
  • Visit the Department of Systemwide Safety and Emergency Management's website for more information. 

If you need after-hours support:

  • Call the Department of Systemwide Safety and Emergency Management: 240-740-3066.
  • Report the location and nature of the problem.
  • Provide a point-of-contact name, work location, and telephone number for follow-up.
  • School Security will contact your service center's maintenance and operations personnel. Do not attempt to contact service center personnel directly.
