Thomas W. Pyle Middle School was built in 1962 and modernized in 1993.

The objective of this project is to construct an addition and renovate portions of Thomas W. Pyle Middle School to address the space and core deficiencies and provide additional program and support spaces. The thirteen teaching stations will increase the capacity to 1,502 and is scheduled to be complete in September 2020.

  • Construct an addition with the desired functional spatial relationships
  • Provide an addition that will allow easy supervision of students
  • Provide an addition that will compliment and improve the existing circulation
  • Provide a three-story addition with a compact footprint to limit impact to site play area
  • Provide a multi-level cafeteria to minimize impact to the site
  • Place the addition on the site to minimize impact to school operations
