This dashboard includes data on the participation and performance of MCPS graduates by student group as it relates to the SAT. Participation rates for the last three MCPS graduating classes are included in this dashboard. The SAT is a standardized test used for college admissions developed by The College Board. There are two sections of the SAT that are scored: 1) Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) and 2) Math. Each section score ranges from 200 to 800. There is also a total score, a composite of the two sections, which ranges from 400 to 1600. The College Board sets benchmarks for SAT ERW (480) and Math (530) to estimate students’ college and career readiness. The percent of MCPS graduates meeting the ERW and Math benchmarks for college and career readiness are provided on this dashboard. Additionally, mean SAT section scores in ERW and Math and SAT total score are reported as well.
