Congratulations to the "Montessori Society of Ashton," the recipient of the 2019 computer lab
Thank you to all of the applicants who applied for the computer lab from the Montgomery County Students Information Technology Foundation (ITF). This year’s computer lab recipient is The Montessori
Society of Ashton, Inc. (MSA). For over 50 years, the MSA has been serving
Montgomery County students enrolled at the Mater Amoris Montessori School in
Ashton, Maryland. At Mater Amoris, enrolled students engage in a unique
Montessori program with a curriculum that is individualized, student centered,
and experience driven. Despite the unique opportunities afforded by a
Montessori program, Mater Amoris lacks computers, Ipads, tablets, and other
technology resources that MCPS students utilize on a regular basis. Through
gifting the refurbished computer lab to the MSA, the ITF is helping to ensure
that technology is accessible to all students throughout Montgomery County and
that all students have opportunities to acquire the technical skills necessary
for a successful future.
The ITF will hold its annual computer lab gifting ceremony on November 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Clarksburg High School’s Media Center.
