Mission Statement
The mission of this library media center is to ensure that through an integrated instructional program, all students and staff will become effective users of ideas and information and also to ensure that the program is directly reflective of the Standards for School Library Media Programs in Maryland.
Vision Statement
The vision of this library media center is to contribute to the life-long love of learning and reading.
To do that, this media center will be a place where students and teachers alike will feel welcomed and respected. It will be a place where students are taught to think for themselves, to become evaluators of information, and to use information in a meaningful way.
This media center will contain a current and well-developed collection that is not only aligned with the curriculum, but is also organized, equitable, and enriching.
This media specialist will work in collaboration with classroom teachers to support the media program's role as an extension of the classroom. She is a specialist in leadership, in instruction, and in program development.
She herself has an intense love of literature and what is has to offer each individual.
This media center will help to build a foundation to enable students to reach their utmost potential now and in the future.
