Peer Assistance Program

Peer Assistants are students who have applied and been recommended to participate in what is essentially a leadership group at Wootton. Members are trained to serve in roles as either peer helpers, to interact with students who are interested in speaking to a peer about issues of concern to them; or as peer mediators, to help students involved in conflicts come up with their own solutions and resolutions to interpersonal incidents.

They have been through 18 hours of training in one-on-one counseling and peer mediation and are eager to be utilized! Throughout the year, they may do workshops for the students on different relevant issues upon request..

Additionally, they can go to a class if requestedl.
