Local School Objectives
1. By the year 2011, Wootton High School students will demonstrate
increased academic achievement by:
- Increasing scores on the PSAT from 9th to 10th and 10th to 11th
grades, and increasing scores on the SAT in 12th grade from year to
year.
- Increase enrollment of students meeting college rigorous standards.
- Increase the number of students enrolled in Honors, AP, and College
Institute classes.
- Increase the number of students meeting proficiency or advanced
levels on the 10th grade math HSA and the 10th grade reading MSA.
2. By the year 2011 Wootton High School will foster citizenship
proficiency through the development of core ethical values--respect, responsibility,
compassion and honesty--as demonstrated by 100% of its students engaged
in positive and productive social interaction within the school and community
as measured by:
- increased student attendance
- increased participation in co-curricular activities
- increase in number of students eligible to participate in co-curricular
activities
- increase in the number of students engaged in mentoring or mediation
activities
- increase in the number of students with more than 60 Student Service
Learning hours
- decrease in student suspensions
- decrease in student referrals for academic dishonesty
