Net Generation Youth SciTech Club
Earle B. Wood Middle School has formed a partnership with Net Generation Youth, an organization that brings a voice to youth.  The students involved in the program act as cyberambassadors; they research and discuss 21st century problems and use technology as their mode of communication via blogs and film.  On December 17, 2009, two students and teachers from Wood went to The Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C. to listen to Alec Ross, Senior Advisor for Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, speak.  Alec Ross’s speech, “U.S. Diplomacy in the Age of Facebook and Twitter: An Address on 21st Century Statecraft,” was eye-opening and informative.  The students were able to interview participants and report their findings to fellow students at Wood.In picture from left to right-
