My name is Karen LaRossa and this is my third year of teaching in MCPS and my first year at Jackson Road ES. Previously I taught 4th and 5th grade special education. I graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's of Science in Special Education in May 2005 with dual certification in general and special education. I grew up outside of Philadelphia and remain a Philadelphia sports enthusiast. Currently, I am working towards my Master's in Technology for Education at Johns Hopkins University.
I am very excited about this year and would like to welcome each of you into the JRES fifth grade community!
