Hello, I am Troy Clarke and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Woodlin Elementary School. I am a proud graduate of MCPS. Go JFK Cavaliers!!
Eleven years ago, I began my professional career with MCPS at Judith A. Resnik Elementary School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I was a third grade teacher for 4 years. Later I taught fifth grade and served as team leaders for 6 years. With the direction and support of the administration at Resnik, I was instructed to perform many leadership tasks which guided me to my position at Woodlin Elementary.
I attended undergraduate and graduate school at Bowie State University. I earned a duel bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Special Education and a master’s degree in School Administration and Supervision. I stand by the belief that children can accomplish their goals if they are given the opportunities and tools to do so. Throughout my educational endeavors, I had family and teachers who believed in and supported me. So it is with great appreciation, that I serve the children and staff of Woodlin Elementary.
I currently reside in Colesville, Maryland. I enjoy attending sporting events, particularly boxing matches. Music is also a huge passion of mine. My taste in music ranges from Alicia Keys to Jay-Z to classic Led Zeppelin! Traveling and experiencing different cultures is an absolute pleasure. It is my belief that experiencing other cultures helps me grow as an individual and gain a better perspective of our world! As far as food…..I love P.F. Chang’s! I look forward to a highly productive school year and fostering a great relationship with the Woodlin community!
