Beans, Let's Watch Them Grow!

Friday September 22, 2006 - Day 1  

We took a good look at the seed with a hand glass.

We put dirt in a cup.

We put our seed in the cup and pushed it under the dirt.

We put the cup with the seed by a sunny window.

Later, we'll add water.

Monday September 25, 2006 - Day 4

I saw a root. I saw dirt. I saw green.  I saw a crack. I saw roots. It cracked open.

The plants started to grow. It is growing and growing and growing. I saw the growing.

There was a crack with a little green stem coming out.

Thursday September 28, 2006 - Day 7

One of them was a little bit green and it was almost going to grow. One of them had roots.

There was one starting to have leaves. I saw a sprout. I saw everybody's starting to grow. One had leaves.

One was growing. One of them was about to crack it's shell open.

Tuesday Oct 3, 2006 - Day 12

They had lots of roots. One was almost bigger than the cup.

I saw the leaves on the plant. One had lots of leaves. One had big leaves.

Almost all of them were so big.

Thursday Oct 12, 2006 - Day 21

I saw a seed on the plant. I saw roots. I saw a lot were big.

I saw a yellow seed. I saw that the leaves were bigger. There were lots of leaves.

One of our plants is 17 inches tall. They all drink lots of water.

Monday October 23, 2006  - Day 32

Something was out of a seed.

They got much bigger.

There were flowers on some plants.

We have beans!
