Beans, Let's Watch Them Grow!

Tuesday September 26, 2006 - Day 1  

Bean Planting

Beans are living things.

We will put soil into cups and then we will put one bean seed in each cup.

We will look at the bean cups everyday to see what will happen.

We will give 23 cups some water.

Mrs. Shani's cup will not get water.

We will give all cups light, and wait to see what will happen.

Tuesday October 3, 2006 - Day 8

Look at our bean plants. Some have sprouted and some have leaves beginning to show. 

Living things change, they might look different every day.

The sprouts are green. The seeds were brown. The soil moved.

Thursday October 5, 2006 - Day 10

What has happened to the bean plants?

The plants have gotten taller. Some are still sprouting.

The plants have leaves. The tallest plants have leaves that have opened.

The seed that wasn't watered at all hasn't sprouted.

Monday December 18, 2006 - Day 84

Our Bean Plants:

We have no beans. We have a few small buds, but no flowers yet.

We will wait and see what will happen.

Some plants dried up and the leaves fell off.

We think it might be cold for our plants, and they haven't much sun now.
