Writing
Our focus for Writer’s Workshop will be Writing to Inform. The students will write informational paragraphs about places they have been.
In writer’s workshop, we will learn about how to write a complete paragraph. In our paragraphs, we will write topic sentences that have a “hook,” which grabs your reader’s attention and makes the reader want to read more. We will write supporting details that connect to the topic sentence. We will also write conclusion sentences that wrap-up the paragraph and leaves the reading with a memorable last impression.
We will also continue to work on the 6 traits of writing. The six traits of writing are ideas, organization, word choice, sentence fluency, voice, and conventions.
