Compass Points
for College Counseling
April 2010

Dear Walter Johnson High School Juniors,

You are about to begin a very exciting time in your lives-that of choosing where to apply to college. This important step in your transition to adulthood is invigorating, as you will no doubt learn more about who you are, where your interests lie, and what you hope the future holds for you. It is also a time-consuming process that requires attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. We in the School Counseling Department are here to assist you in making this a smooth and rewarding process. The Compass Points packet is a guide to help the application process, as well. Included are all the necessary forms we require be submitted for each college to which you will apply. All of the included forms are available in the Counseling office, as well as online from this page.

As always, if you need any assistance with any part of the college application process, please do not hesitate to see your school counselor. After all, we are here for you!

Best wishes,
Dennis Reynolds
