If you are 16, you need parent permission to donate
Print the parent permission form
- You must be 16 years of age at the time you donate
- You must weight at least 110 pounds
- You must generally be in good health, you must be well for 3 days (no symptoms of illness
including colds)
- The entire procedure takes about 45 minutes; the actual giving time is usually less than
10 minutes
- It's important - 95% of the population will need a blood transfusion at least once in their lives but only 5% donate
blood!

Make appointments during lunch in the Student Commons or
e-mail blooddrive@walterjohnson.com
with a half hour time period between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. during which time you are available to donate. You will receive a reply confirming your appointment
time. While appointments are preferred, walk-ins are welcome.
