Walter Johnson HS Physics Honor Society

Purpose: The Physics Honors Society is dedicated to promoting interest in Physics, aiding students in their studies of Physics, and assisting the WJ Physics Team in its preparations for and performance at Physics competitions.

Eligibility: To be eligible for membership in the Physics Honors Society, one must* have accomplished one of the following:

  • Completed an AP level Physics course with a 3.0 or higher Grade Point Average;
  • Completed Honors Physics with a 3.5 or higher Grade Point Average;
  • Received a passing score on an AP Physics Exam.
* Exceptions to the eligibility requirements may be made by Mr. Richards.

Membership Requirements: All members must be available for tutoring twice a month during lunch on days designated by Mr. Richards. All members must also, in some way, aid the WJ Physics Team in its preparations for and/or performance at Physics competitions.
