The WJ Debate Team won the Montgomery County Debate League championship at the County Finals tournament held at Churchill March 3-4, 2010.
This is WJ's 8th Consecutive Championship and the 16th Championship since 1993, coming in 2nd in 2001 and 2002.
WJ won by going into the Finals tournament with the best regular season record, and then winning more matches (50) during the March 3-4 Finals Tournament than any other team.
WJ set a league record by qualifying 24 students for Finals. The top ranking debaters in Finals were Nic Carter, Bea Owens, Catherine Liu, Ahmed Qureshi, Camilla Yanushevsky, Jesse Young, Tianhao He, Chad Price and Nayeon Kim.
