All activities will begin promptly as listed
Dress for athletes is:
Men: collared shirts with or without a tie with nice pants.
Women: nice pants, skirts/blouses or dresses.
No jeans please.
About This Event
In order to recognize the importance of athletics to the
high school experience, Montgomery County Public
Schools requires that each school honor its student
athletes for the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.
The tri-annual Sports Awards Ceremony at
Walter Johnson is a formal evening for athletes and their
families to celebrate the achievements of all of the
school's student athletes.
Following the recognition of each team, Dr. Garran will present the student-selected Wildcat and MVP awards to
the individual winners. After the ceremony, teams will adjourn to assigned locations for dessert and the coaches
remarks and distribution of individual varsity letters and Scholar-Athlete awards.
Parents of all athletes are encouraged to attend this celebration of the positive achievements of Walter Johnson
students. It is respectfully requested that attendees remain for the honoring of all student-athletes before finishing
the evening in the individual team meetings.
1Team Desserts are arranged by the Parent Commissioners
for each team. If your family has not been notified of the arrangements for your team, contact your team's Commissioner.
2Team Room Assignments are posted approx. 1 week prior to the event
