WJHS Minority Scholars Program
The goal of the Minority Scholars Program is to increase the academic achievement of
minority students (African-American and Hispanic) and the number of minority students in
Honors and Advanced Placement classes.
Relationship building will be an integral part of the success of this program.
Program Coordinators are:
Esther Adams &
Mike Williams
The program will focus on the following three categories:
- Minority students already identified Honors and AP, including Honors and APEX Programs
- Minority students with potential to enroll in Honors and AP classes at the high school level
- Incoming 9th grade students with the potential to enroll in high school Honors classes
