- Written statement based upon the focus questions for student’s specific topic.
- Student’s ECR will be graded on a 4, 3, 2, 1 scale based on the MCPS rubric. The point breakdown is as follows:
- 4 = 50 points
- 3 = 43 points (86%)
- 2 = 38 points (76%)
- 1 = 30 points (60%)

Research:
- Each student is responsible for completing a separate research notes page on 4 sources. At least 2 of those sources must be found by the student and 2 provided by the teacher must be used. The graphic organizer provided can be used for this purpose.
- Sources must be credible, reliable and pertinent to the topic of the project. Wikipeida is not an acceptable source.
- Each source is worth 3 points.
- Use as many sources as you need to properly address all of the elements of the assignment.
