  • Written statement based upon the focus questions for student’s specific topic.
  • Student’s ECR will be graded on a 4, 3, 2, 1 scale based on the MCPS rubric. The point breakdown is as follows:
    • 4 = 50 points
    • 3 = 43 points (86%)
    • 2 = 38 points (76%)
    • 1 = 30 points  (60%)

Research:

  1. Each student is responsible for completing a separate research notes page on 4 sources.  At least 2 of those sources must be found by the student and 2 provided by the teacher must be used.  The graphic organizer provided can be used for this purpose.
  2. Sources must be credible, reliable and pertinent to the topic of the project.  Wikipeida is not an acceptable source.
  3. Each source is worth 3 points.
  4. Use as many sources as you need to properly address all of the elements of the assignment.
