Task Definition

What am I supposed to do?

Students are to select a well-known politician/inventor/industrialist/social activist and write an obituary describing the person's life.
The obituary should include:

-Photo of the individual

-Brief mention of family

-Date and cause of death

-What is the individual remembered for (what did they do to become famous?)

-How did the individual influence/change society?

In addition to the written submission, students will give a 2-4 minute oral presentation on their subject.

1. Your paper must include, as attachments, copies of 3 informational sources. The length of the obituary should be 200-250 words.

2. PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Presentation Content:

What will the individual be remembered for (what did they do to become famous?)

How did the individual influence/change society?

Brief history of individual's family (2 sentences)

Date and cause of death (1 sentence)

How will I credit my sources?

Make a hard copy of where you got the information for your project. Highlight exactly where you got the information on the hard copy.

Project Evaluation:
