deal with the givens of life?
How does the historical context shape the individual’s perspective?
In this research project, you will investigate these
two questions on an individual who is both significant
to world history and has a profound outlook on life.

Each student
will construct a profile of their
individual. The profile will include:
- A brief
synopsis of major events in this
individual’s life (both external and personal)
- A detailed
explanation of how the individual
dealt with each of the givens of life
- An analysis
of how external factors and
philosophies from the individual’s context
helped to form the above perspectives
- An interpretation
and summation of the
individual’s explanatory style and philosophy on life
The student
will also present their
findings to the class in a 6-8 minute presentation.
