ASSIGNMENT
Proposal:
Write a one page, typed proposal of your project.
Include your topic name, at least three web site addresses you have visited,
what you will write about, and what type of model you will create.
Written Report:
Write a 3 to 5 page, typed (double-spaced, 12 pt., one
inch margin) paper on your topic. use your proposal and any feedback
from the teacher. Include a graphic aid, and a bibliography listing
where you searched on the web, and at least one other source (book, magazine,
etc.)
Model:
Create a model (poster, overhead projector sheets, video,
computer demonstration...) to represent your approved topic. Be creative!
Oral Presentation:
Prepare a 3-5 minute oral presentation on your approved
topic. Use 3 X 5 index cards for notes. Do not read your written
report. Include where you searched on the Internet, a summary of
your written report, and your model.

MCPS Catalog (linked from Media Center Home Page) to search for library
books on your topic. For this project the following call numbers

SIRS Researcher on the Web provides thousands of full-text
articles on social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic, political
and global issues. Articles are carefully selected from around 1500
newspapers, magazines, journals, and government publications. Graphics,
including charts, maps, diagrams, and drawings, are available for many
of the articles.
