Welcome to the ACES Website
ACES, the Advanced Curriculum for Excellence in Science, is one of Walter Johnson's Scholars programs. To find out more about ACES, click the links on the left side of the screen.
New Science Opportunities:
1) ScienceMONTGOMERY, the Montgomery County Science Fair, will be held March 16-18, 2012. The Science Fair (Friday and Saturday) is at the Reckord Armory, University of Maryland, College Park; the Awards Ceremony (Sunday) is at a location to be determined. Organized by our all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization of scientists, engineers, teachers, and parents, the Fair is open to all 6th-12th grade students in Montgomery County. 2)The application for Exploring Engineering at the University of Maryland (E2@UMD) is now available at http://www.wie.umd.edu/precollege/e2umd.html.
This program is open to girls entering grades 11 and 12 in fall 2012.
Applications are due by Monday, March 26th for best consideration.
Please follow the instructions to complete the online form and submit required materials (teacher recommendation and official transcript).
