Visiting the Media Center

The Media Center is a quiet place where students can do research, work on assignments, find a book or read quietly.  In addition to visiting the Media Center during the school day as part of a class, students can also visit on their own as needed, but the number of students allowed in at any one time is limited.  The number of students is limited so that students in it can work without distractions.

  • Before School - The Media Center opens every day at 7:30.  Students who wish to come before school must get a pass from the teacher on hall duty.  Students will not be admitted without a pass.
  • During Lunch - If classes are not scheduled in the Media Center during a particular lunch period, students may visit.  Lunch passes to the Media Center can be picked up in the cafeteria. Students will not be admitted without a pass.
  • After School - On days when the activity bus runs, the Media Center is open until 4:00.  Passes are not needed after school.  Students must sign in when they arrive in the media center.  Students must be in the Media Center by 3:00 or they will not be allowed in.  Students should plan to stay until the bus is called at 4:00, so they must take care of personal needs (going to locker, visiting the bathroom, getting a drink, etc...) before they come to the Media Center.

In addition to the times above, students are always welcome to come to the Media Center during the day to find a new book.  Students must have a pass in the assignment book to visit during class time.
