All of the resources listed below can be used both at school and from home.  Students will need logins and passwords to access the resources from home.  Please go to the Media Center page on EDLINE, or ask in the Media Center to get a listing of all of the logins and passwords.

American history including primary sources and multimedia. 

EB Global Reference Center  

Japanese, Korean, Chinese & French Britannica Encyclopaedias and a link to the Spanish Reference Center. 

EB Image Quest  

Access more than two million rights-cleared images from over 50 of the best collections in the world. 

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Academic Edtion  

Available for every student, but recommended for high school and higher education.  

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online School Edition   

Three encyclopedias in one: Encyclopaedia Britannica, Compton’s by Britannica and Britannica Elementary.   

EB Spanish Reference Center  

Enciclopedia Juvenil provides a Spanish elementary encyclopedia, images, videos, and Spanish language learning materials .

This is an online bibliography (works cited) composer and note taking tool.   

SIRS   

SIRS Decades:  covers the 20th century decade by decade with 5,000 primary and secondary sources selected by the editors of SIRS.  

SIRS Discover:  The database includes carefully selected full-text articles and images from more than 1,600 domestic and international newspapers, magazines, government documents, and websites.  

SIRS Knowledge Source:  Includes a periodical database with a link to SIRS Pro/Con which has issues research 

Student Resource Center Junior  

Primary source documents, biographies, topical essays, critical analysis, full-text coverage of newspapers and periodicals.   

Teachingbooks  

TeachingBooks.net an easy-to-use website that adds a multimedia dimension to the reading experiences of children's and young adult books.   

Webster's New International Dictonary  

This is a real dictionary and without those pesky advertisements and pop-ups.   

World Data Analyst  

Similar to CultureGrams, World Data Analyst provides "Country Snapshots," "current comparisons" and "chronological comparisons," which compares changes over time up to 90 years. 

Worldbook Online Multimedia Encyclopedia  

Includes access to World Book Student, World Book Kids, Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos, an elementary Spanish language encyclopedia, the World Book Atlas and the World Book Dictionary.
