Take Action Intervention Group

Students identified as underperforming receive focused help twice a week after school to improve performance in all courses and self efficacy.  Each session starts with an activator to prompt students to think about their learning and the importance of education in their future.

Saturday School

First and second year medical school students from USUHS facilitate study group sessions and serve as mentors.

Mentoring

Eleventh grade Medical Intervention students mentor ninth grade Principles of the Biomedical Science students.  The mentor meets with the mentee every Thursday to eat lunch, provide encouragement, and help with assignments.

SAT Preparation

Students in Medical Interventions and Human Body Systems participate twice a week after school, during second semester, in SAT preparation sessions with an English and Math teacher.

Lunch Time Assistance

The Bioscience classroom is divided into two areas; a place to eat lunch and place to work on assignments.  Bioscience teachers eat lunch with students then support them as the complete assignments for their classes.

Homework Center

The Bioscience classroom is open after school for students to work on assignments using the lap top computers.
