Mrs. Swann, Primary Autism
I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. I went to Hampton University for undergraduate studies and California State Dominguez Hills for my master's degree. I went to Johns Hopkins for training in teaching children with autism. I have always wanted to be a special education teacher. I have worked for many years and in three different states, however I have always been a teacher. My favorite childhood game was Jacks. I love the kind, inclusive and energetic spirit of character Adika from the book Mama Panya's Pancakes by Richard Chamberlin. My favorite aspect of teaching is seeing and hearing the enthusiasm my students have during literacy group lessons.
